You’re going to want to get to ALDI right now. They’ve kicked off the holidays this week with their first seasonal items. And their vintage-look ceramic Christmas trees are the hot ticket item. (Not to mention completely adorable.)
Many of us grew up with a relative who had one of these ceramic Christmas trees. (You get bonus points if that relative made theirs in a ceramics class back in the 70s.)
It’s no wonder their nostalgic charm has made them a hot holiday collectible.
If you’re lucky, you can find one of these trees with a little sleuthing in your neighborhood thrift store or antiques dealer. However, because of their popularity, they often run anywhere from $100-$300 dollars depending on their height and condition. If you’re tired of hitting up antique shops trying to find one that doesn’t cost you an arm and a leg, ALDI has you covered.
The large Merry Moments Nostalgic Tree is 14.44″ high. It comes in the traditional green, soft pink, and mint colors (both hot colors this year). Its battery-operated LEDS are super bright and have a 6 hours on/18 hours off timer function.
If you’re looking for something a little smaller, you can also find these ceramic cuties in a shorter version (about 8″ tall). To complete the vintage look, grab the matching light-up reindeer. They also have a light-up holiday camper and snowman. For those looking to save space, ALDI also has Merry Moments Nostalgic Tree ornaments that light up, too. They would make the perfect desktop Christmas tree this season. But like with all of ALDI’s Weekly Finds, you’ve got to get them before they disappear, and with the popularity of these trees, they won’t last long.
Missed The Boat?
If you’ve rushed to ALDI only to find they’ve quickly sold out (or if you aren’t lucky enough to live near an ALDI), but you’re now desperate to get your hands on one of these vintage ceramic Christmas trees, we’ve got you covered.
This 15 inch Casafield Hand Painted Ceramic Christmas Tree with 128 Lights is a stunning option available on Amazon. It includes two sets of bulbs – 64 white and 64 multi-color so you can customize your tree as you see fit. It also includes two star options for the top of the tree. Unlike the ALDI product, it comes with a power cord so no need for endlessly replacing batteries. And the reviews are overwhelmingly positive.
There are even eight tree colors to choose from and an option to choose “snow capped” trees. This green option is undoubtedly our favorite and the less said about this white tree with blue lights combination the better!
