Where do you go when you need holiday cookies, Christmas decorations, and festive advent calendars? We go to Costco.
We look forward to Costco Christmas products every year, from the unusual Kirkland Signature items to the massive Costco Christmas trees to the attractive gift baskets.
Costco warehouses are never easy to navigate; they’re about as hard to traverse as a Vegas casino floor. To help you streamline your shopping and find the best of the best in Costco, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite Costco Christmas items.
Look for these holiday items on shelves anytime between October 1st and the end of the year to amp up the Christmas spirit.
Disney Holiday Village
Costco has several nativity sets and Christmas village sets to choose from, but none are as popular and endearing as the Disney Holiday Village set. It comes with 13 pieces, including a town square Christmas tree, Goofy skating, Santa Mickey in his sleigh, Eeyore with a wreath, and more beloved characters. While we love a classy, vintage Christmas village, this colorful and playful one steals our hearts every year.
GE Christmas Lights
As one of the most powerful and prominent electric companies in the world, General Electric knows how to make decent Christmas lights. However, they don’t come cheap — unless you have a Costco card! People flock to Costco to grab Christmas lights ahead of the season from this reputable brand, from classic string lights to glitter garlands to animatronic deer to sparkling icicles. For many people, outdoor Christmas decorations begin and end at Costco.
LEGO Advent Calendars
LEGOs are a big deal at Costco. Aside from the LEGO store, Costco is one of the few places that carries a wide variety of complete sets. Even the toy sections of stores like Target and Walmart can’t compare. However, you can get Costco LEGOs 365 days a year. It’s the LEGO advent calendars people go nuts for. There are typically at least three or four options, but there can be more. Find LEGO advent calendars with themes like Star Wars, Disney Princess, Marvel, city life, the 12 Days of Christmas, Harry Potter, and many more.

Grand Vins de Bordeaux
The Grand Vins de Bordeaux box is a wine gift set that Costco has offered on its shelves for years. It’s become a customer favorite because it’s a brilliant gift, complete with a rustic box that holds the four bottles of red wine. Prices and wine options vary, but you can usually get four decent bottles for just $30, which is a better deal than most liquor stores. Maybe the wine snobs in your life won’t like this, but the average vino lover will be overjoyed. Or you can buy it for yourself!
Cranberry Walnut Bread
Costco bakeries vary drastically from location to location and region to region. But when the holiday season arrives, almost every location embraces the delicious time of year with holiday staples like this bread. The crust is crunchy, but the middle is fluffy, with chunks of walnut and pieces of dried, sweetened cranberries. The Cranberry Walnut Bread is one of many holiday items, but it’s one of our favorites, along with plenty of other Costco customers.
Bakery Pies
The Costco bakery also cannot be outdone when it comes to pies. The options depend on your location, but the pumpkin, pecan, and apple pies are typically easy-peasy to find, no matter where you are in the country. These pie flavors are out of this world and are essentials for your next Christmas party or just a Wednesday night in December. The crusts are beautifully buttery, while the fillings pack a bold punch of flavor that makes you want to inhale a whole pie. And in typical Costco style, they’re insanely cheap.
Lindt Advent Calendar
The Lindt advent calendar is another classic Costco item that sells out fast, so make sure you grab one early in the season. Lindt chocolate is easy to love, so this advent calendar is a crowd-pleaser, even if you live in a picky household. And the calendar doesn’t just come with the basic Lindt truffles we all know and love. It also features goodies like Lindt mini milk and double milk chocolate balls, mini milk chocolate elves with hazelnut filling, mini milk chocolate bears with double milk filling, milk chocolate Santas, and much more.
Costco Christmas Trees
It’s amazing how many products Kirkland produces, from wine to hand sanitizer to firewood to cold medicine to yogurt. Christmas trees might seem like one of the most random Kirkland products, but they’re also one of the most popular. You’ll find Costco Christmas trees in every size you can imagine, whether you want a mini tree for your apartment or a gargantuan tree for your town center. Many come with built-in lights, making it easier to deck the halls and curate a festive tree.
Nutcracker Chocolate Truffle Holiday Gift Tins
While there is no shortage of chocolate treats available at Costco around Christmas, many people have a soft spot for these charming nutcracker tins. They’re medium-sized metal tins made to look like traditional nutcrackers and filled with wrapped milk chocolate truffles that melt in your mouth. These make great gifts because the chocolate is excellent and people can reuse the nutcracker tin as holiday decor year after year.
Walkers Premium Shortbread
Walkers makes sensational shortbread cookies that are very popular in the UK around Christmas. These balanced, buttery cookies have also become beloved in the US, and are the perfect accompaniment for morning coffee or evening tea. Costco sells Kirkland Signature Walkers Shortbread Collections during the holiday season. Each branded tin comes with a variety of shortbread shapes, including the classic biscuit and a festive cookie.
Kelsen Danish Butter Cookies
The Kelsen Danish Butter Cookies fall into the same category as Walkers Shortbread. They’re delicate and light in flavor but are also irresistible. The cookies come in five distinct shapes, some of which have coarse sugar sprinkled on top for a deeper flavor. These are truly scrumptious, but it’s the quantity that makes this product enticing. You get a whopping five pounds of cookies, guaranteed to last you until Christmas (probably).
Elf Advent Calendar
In 2003, Will Ferrel and Warner Brothers gifted us with the instant holiday classic Elf. Most of us Christmas fanatics have yet to get over our love for this movie, so people still scramble to grab the Elf advent calendars from Costco each year. This calendar is a movie-inspired pop-up diorama with 24 windows for each day leading up to Christmas. Rather than chocolates and candy, you get a tiny figurine each day — some are movie characters, while others are Christmas items like candy canes.
A Christmas Story Advent Calendar
A Christmas Story is another Christmas movie that captured all of our hearts and has yet to let go. Similar to the Elf calendar, this one comes with 24 one-inch figurines you pull out of a cute pop-up diorama that shows the house from the movie. There’s even a little figurine of the lamp from the movie, an iconic item from film history. Advent calendars filled with edible goodies are great, but it’s also nice to mix it up and get movie-themed calendars that offer collectible items you can keep forever.
Squishmallows Ornament Plush Assorted
If you know someone who is obsessed with Squishmallows, you know how deep this passion runs. People who love these soft little (and sometimes huge) toys often have a vast collection, and they usually want more. Costco carries a whole bunch of Squishmallows year-round, but the ornament plushies and ornament figures are only available around Christmas. These ornament packs are some of the most unique and lovable Costco Christmas items.
Kirkland Signature Gift Wrap
Most people know that Christmas can be an expensive time of year, between the gifts, the traveling, and the hearty meals. However, one of the most staggering and surprising expenses is the cost of wrapping paper. A pathetically thin roll from Target can run you $20 and wraps no more than four or five medium-sized gifts. It’s madness! But Costco offers much bigger rolls at much better deals. People are particularly fond of Kirkland double-sided wrapping paper. Not only is it affordable and dual-design, but it’s high-quality, comfortable to cut, and comes in stylish patterns.
Kirkland Gift Bows and Ribbon
Along with the wrapping paper, we also have to shout out Costco’s delightful assortment of gift bows and wrapping ribbons. Bows and ribbons can also be ridiculously pricey at other stores, but you can get a phenomenal deal on Kirkland gift accessories. And you need these to put the finishing touches on every present! We could spend an hour admiring their lovely bow and ribbon collection. Picking which patterns and colors we want is tough, but with great prices, we can take home more for less.
Costco Christmas Figurine Sets
Beyond the Costco Christmas trees and lights, the store also sells numerous decor items that charm people. In particular, the small to medium-sized figurines are very popular. You can find penguins, reindeer, Santa Claus, polar bears, and elf figurines that can help round out your decor collection. Many are safe for indoor and outdoor use, making them versatile and enchanting. The figurine sets make it a breeze to elevate your holiday decor.
Cranberry Almond Thin Cookies
These seasonal cookies lean away from the sweetness and into the yeastiness, offering a flavor that feels closer to bread than a sugar cookie. They’re difficult to stop eating, with a thin, crispy texture, chewy cranberries, and dainty almonds. They snap briskly, and this texture is ideal as a side at tea time or even a holiday breakfast. They’re like if a fruit cake decided one day that it wanted to be a cookie.
Nautica Holiday Pajamas
What Christmas is complete without special Christmas pajamas? Whether you need Costco Christmas Eve PJs for the whole family or just want a snuggly pair of lounge clothes for December, this is the place. They sell Christmas pajamas from a few different brands, but many people, including us, opt for the Nautica PJs. The fabric is high-quality and comfy, and the styles are refined but festive. Don’t let the season start without a fresh pair of pajamas!
Kirkland Holiday European Cookies
You have plenty of cookie options when it comes to Christmas at Costco, but these European-style cookies made with Belgian chocolate are our top pick. These are limited-edition cookies that are only available around the holidays, and they sell out in the blink of an eye each year. The holiday tin comes with 15 cookies and over eight cookie varieties, making it perfect for sharing with a loved one throughout the holiday season.
Vacaville Fruit Company Boards and Baskets
Vacaville Fruit Company makes a wealth of holiday boards and gift baskets, many of which can be found at Costco. The exact options will vary by location, but you’re sure to find a few choices during the season of giving. This dried fruit is exceptionally flavorful and chewy, and many products also come with a robust assortment of nuts. These make great gifts or time-saving party appetizers.
Fluffy Blankets
Nothing makes you feel cozy during winter, quite like a fluffy holiday blanket. Costco Christmas blankets are surprisingly affordable despite the premium quality. You can choose from a range of styles and materials, but we love the thick, furry ones with Christmas patterns on them. They’re a comfy gift for anyone and everyone, so we like to get them for our impossible-to-buy-for loved ones. And they pair perfectly with your favorite Christmas movie!
Costco Christmas Throw Pillows
Costco has some of the cutest Christmas throw pillows in town, and they offer new styles every year. Find red and green plaid, canine-themed designs, vintage styles, snowman stuffies, and many more pillows. With one trip to Costco, you can grab all the comfortable, soft decor items you need to turn your home into an inviting Christmas haven. They look adorable with holiday blankets from Costco too.
Kirkland Signature Eggnog
We know buying certain products from Kirkland can seem odd, and this might be one of the weirdest. But you can take our word for it: The Kirkland Signature eggnog is fantastic. It’s creamy and eggy, just as it should be, and has the rich warmth we like in our eggnog. However, we will advise you to buy non-Kirkland spiced rum and brandy. Kirkland does a lot of things well, but rum is not one of them. Sorry, Costco.
David’s Cookies Butter Pecan Meltaways
These cookies are unlike anything else on this list. As we mentioned, Costco has no shortage of Christmas cookie tins, boxes, and baskets, but David’s Cookies Butter Pecan Meltaways are something special. They have the tender crunch of pecans surrounded by buttery sweetness that does, as it promises, melt in your mouth in just moments. From the powdered sugar to the soft cookie to the chopped pecans, the array of textures dance together magically.
Costco Christmas Soap Sets
Soap sets might seem random, but with so many options, they’re a common Costco Christmas purchase. Some soap sets feature bath soaps, while others contain hand soap dispensers. Whether you want bars or liquid, you’ll find festive and everyday soap sets that make fabulous gifts or can add to your collection of Christmas decor. We love the sets with an old-school apothecary vibe, but the vintage Christmas sets will always be our favorite.
